Which composers and works will be performed on the music evenings?

You can expect a variation of the best compositions by Johann Strauss along with some musical surprises.

The evening offers a selection of Johann Strauss' best marches, arias and polkas, including classics such as the Radetzky March, the Danube Waltz, the Tritsch-Tratsch Polka, the Auf der Jagd Polka and the Annen Polka. Our charming presenter and conductor will guide you through the evening with humor.

Will there be special guest musicians or conductors?

Our shows are accompanied by the best conductors, sopranos, the Vienna Royal Ballet, and the Johann Strauss Philharmonic. Let the talented artists enchant you.

What else is offered besides classical music and food at the Strauss Dinner Show?

Look forward to impressive show performances, interactive presentations, and elegant ballet dances that will take your breath away.

Organization & Procedure

Is there a cloakroom for coat check?

Yes, there is a cloakroom for coats and backpacks.

How long do the shows typically last?

The show lasts approximately 2 hours, including a break.

Is there a break during the show?

There is a break after the first half of the show, during which the main course will be served.

When should guests arrive at the venue?

We strongly recommend arriving before 7:00 PM.

Is there a specific dress code to consider?

We recommend Casual Chic.

What happens if someone arrives late to the show?

You can certainly attend the show, but we kindly ask you to wait for applause to take your seat (to avoid disturbing the performance).

Ticketing and Seating

How much do tickets cost, and are there different price categories?

Are there reduced prices for children, students, or seniors?

Discounts are available for children (ages 5-18) and students (up to 27 with a valid student ID).

Are the seats numbered or is it open seating?

Seats are assigned based on the booked category. We allocate seating and guide you to your seats. There is NO open seating.

At what age are children allowed?

Children aged 5 and older are allowed. Please note that children under 4 are not permitted to attend.

Is there a box office?

Can purchased tickets be refunded due to illness?

Our spacious tables accommodate multiple guests. Tickets booked together will of course sit at the same table. Depending on the size of the groups, there may also be additional guests at your table. The VIP category guarantees an exclusive table.
Additionally, we can guarantee an exclusive table for the following bookings:

Rank: from 7 tickets
Loges: from 5 tickets
Ring: from 6 tickets
VIP: Regardless of the number of tickets, you will have an exclusive table in this category.

What happens if we cannot attend our booked tickets?

If notified in advance, we can reschedule your tickets for another date.

Are there accessible seats?

Yes, please book the "Rank" category for an accessible seat and mention the need for accessibility in the notes when booking.

If we book full-price tickets along with student or child tickets, will they sit with us at the table?

Yes, tickets booked together will also sit at the same table. You can also choose from the same menus (Classic, Vegetarian, Children's Menu).

Catering and Services

Will food or drinks be offered during the evening?

Your meal is included in the ticket. Drinks can be ordered from our service staff. Please note that ordering is not possible during the performances.

Are there special culinary offerings that fit the theme of the evening?

You can expect an exquisite 4-course menu. The selection of dishes has been crafted with the same dedication as the program and the show, with a focus on Vienna. All our dishes are absolute classics and culinary landmarks of our beautiful city.

Is there an opportunity to enjoy dinner before or after the concert?

Your exquisite 4-course menu will be served during the evening. Upon arrival, you will receive the first two courses, the main course will be served during the break, and dessert will be served after the show.

Are there vegan or gluten-free menus? Can we eat with lactose intolerance or other allergies?

Special requests, such as allergies, vegan or gluten-free menus, can be indicated in the notes during ticket booking or by emailing tickets@straussdinnershow.com with your booking number.

Can the individual courses of the different menus be mixed?

Yes, if you would prefer the vegetarian starter with the classic menu featuring Wiener Schnitzel (or vice versa), please indicate this at the time of booking. Our kitchen can accommodate almost every request.

Can I place other special menu requests?

With timely notice, our kitchen can fulfill almost any request. Please specify your wishes in the notes when booking.

Atmosphere and Facilities

How is the event venue designed? Are there special decorations or lighting effects?

Our event venue is equipped with all technical facilities to provide you with an enchanting show. Lighting effects, a modern sound system, and professional table settings enhance the pleasant atmosphere.

What type of seating will be available? Is it comfortable for longer events?

Our comfortable, padded seating at the tables and the padded benches in the boxes provide everything needed for a pleasant sitting experience during the event. If you need an accessible seat, we recommend the Rank category and ask you to mention this when booking.

Is the acoustics in the event venue good for classical music?

Our modern sound system is excellent for all types of music. The acoustics in the unique atmosphere are unparalleled.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. Please inform us at the time of booking if you require accessible seats.

Is the event venue air-conditioned and heated?

The venue is fully air-conditioned and heated, ensuring comfortable temperatures at any time of the year.

Are there parking facilities near the event venue?

There are two large parking garages in the immediate vicinity:

How is the public transport connection?

The Strauss Dinner Show is optimally connected to the public transport network.

SubwayThe U2 station Messe-Prater is just a few minutes' walk from the Mirage.

The U1 stop Praterstern is 800 meters away from the Mirage.

TrainThe S-Bahn station Praterstern is 800 meters from the Mirage.

Are there special notes for arriving or accessing the event grounds?

The Strauss Dinner Show takes place at the Mirage – in the heart of the Vienna Prater. The address is Prater 75 (next to Freudplatz 1), 1020 Vienna.

For a straightforward arrival, we recommend entering "Strauss Dinner Show" or "Mirage" in Google Maps/Maps – this will direct you to our location. Entering Prater 75 will lead you to the middle of the Vienna Prater, which is only a few minutes' walk away, but arriving via "Strauss Dinner Show," "Mirage," or Freudplatz 1 is easier.
